Darren James Peck Died 23rd of May 1976 aged 2 days Darren was conceived whilst I was taking the birth pill and the doctors were not too sure of the date he was due to be born but they gave me the date as the 12th of May.On the 19th of May they decided that I would be taken in to hospital and induced on the 21st,after the birth they then discovered he was approximatley 10 weeeks premature and his lungs were not mature,he was put into an incubator where he fought strongly for 2days but sadly lost the fight on the 2nd day.My darling Darren there is not a day that we dont think about you ,we miss you so much ,we never had the chance to hold you or kiss you ,your older brother and sister misses you and your younger brother and sister know all about you and talk about you .I hope that your Nan Mallett has found you and has you in her arms tightly. The tiny rosebud God picked to bloom in Heaven.
The master gardener from heaven above
Planted a seed in the garden of Love,
And from it there grew a rosebud small
That never had time to open at all.
For God in his perfect and all-wise way
Chose this rose for his heavenly bouquet,
And great was the joy of this tiny rose
To be the one our Father chose
To leave earth’s garden
For one on high
where roses bloom always and never die.
So, while you can’t see your precious rose bloom,
You know the great gardener from the upper room
Is watching and tending this wee rose with care,
Tenderly touching each petal so fair.
So think of your darling with the angels above,
Secure and contented and surrounded with love,
And remember God blessed and enriched your lives too,
For in dying your darling brought heaven closer to you.

Little Man
Little Man,
You were only ever that.
In my mind I have a fuzzy memory of my nose pushed against a huge pane of glass watching a pair of blue bootees in a glass tank kicking up in the air.
Only being 4, I never really understood who you were at that time or how important you were but I knew that one day mummy was having a baby then the next day something awful happened and you were never coming home.
Losing you broke our mum and dad's hearts and it is something mum will never get over. You were and always will be a special place in her heart and no matter how fuzzy and insignificant my memory may seem its all I have of you and I will always hold it close to my heart.
Sleep sweetly little man. I often wonder what my little brother would have been like.
